I was amazed at how quickly I was able to put this DS106 Assignment Bank project together. With all the movie audio, including songs and some soundbites, is available on a CD, it makes things much easier. This was a favorite soundtrack to listen to back in 1995. In Madison, a person could hear “Son of a Preacher Man” playing in every other bar on State Street. One of my favorite films. I’m still waiting to go to Paris to get a “Royale With Cheese” !

Daily Create MD: Hail DS CVI
It’s nice when you can create simple things in Adobe Illustrator. Hopefully, people understand the play on Roman numerals.
DS106 Video Assignment: Dear Sixteen Year Old, Me
This DS106 Video Assignment didn’t take too much time to record, but it did take a while to think about what I was going to say. Most of it is light, but I do talk a bit serious for a couple of moments. Recorded this with my iMac webcam, cut together in iMovie and even put in a Fine Young Cannibals tune from 1988. Not sure if the music was a nice compliment or a bit of a distraction. Comments appreciated.
Daily Create: Modern Day Pony Express Postmark
This DS106 Daily Create assignment took longer than I thought. Haven’t used Adobe Illustrator much so I threw this together using Google Drawings. Took a little while to find some simple clipart online.
Daily Create Week 3: Julius Caesar Quote In Old West Speak
This week’s Daily Create took a little creativity: Turn a William Shakespeare quote and use an Old West Speak Generator to create the cowboy version. I chose the following from Julius Caesar:
“Cowards die many times before their deaths; The valiant never taste of death but once.”
Here’s the Old West Speak Version. Interesting.
